Alex Marquez will be determined to register his third victory of the 2025 MotoGP season by clinching the Malaysian MotoGP.

The Ducati BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider missed out on a podium spot at the Australian MotoGP on 19 October, the most recent event on the 2025 MotoGP calendar.
Alex Marquez started on the sixth grid and he went on to finish fourth, while also finishing sixth in the sprint event, which earned him 17 points in Australia.
MotoGP title ambitions
The former Moto2 and Moto3 rider is still placed second in the 2025 MotoGP Riders' standings, having collected 379 points from 19 races.
Alex is 166 points behind 2025 MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez of Ducati, and 97 points clear of third-placed Marco Bezzecchi of Aprilia.

The former EG 0,0 Marc VDS rider remains among the most outstanding riders this season and only his brother Marc Marquez (15) has more podium finishes than Alex (10).
With Marc set to miss the Malaysian MotoGP, Alex, who won this season's Spanish and Catalan MotoGP races, is a clear favourite to win this weekend's race.
What did he say?
“I gave it all. It wasn’t an easy weekend, especially after yesterday’s two crashes," Alex said after finishing fourth at the 2025 Australian MotoGP.
"We managed to bring home some important points and that’s good. We’re going to Malaysia with a good margin; I love the track and we’ll try to seal our championship position there, with no pressure as there are still three events left.”
